The Wide Bay Gymnastics Club  situated in Hervey Bay has been operating for 30 years and moved into its own building in Walkers Road, Urangan in January 1996. Prior to this, the club had operated out of the Great Hall in Beach Road, Pialba. Classes offered at the Great Hall were restricted to beginners classes, minor levels and a fledging competitive program.

With the opening of its own purpose-built centre, the support of volunteers and the guidance of Master Coach Heinrich Gogoll,  the club developed a program which now caters for participants of all abilities including:

  • Kindergym
  • Beginners Classes
  • General Gymnastics for boys and girls
  • Competitive Gymnastics for boys and girls
  • High performance gymnastics
  • Children with special needs
  • Adult fitness

The Wide Bay gymnastics clubs aims to:

Provide an opportunity for all people to participate in the sport of gymnastics, thereby enabling them to achieve their own level of excellence in a safe and healthy environment.

We are a Good Sports club

Sporting clubs such as ours play a significant role in the community and have a responsibility to our members and their families. We have chosen to join over 7000 clubs across Australia taking part in the Good Sports program. Through Good Sports we are committed to managing alcohol responsibly and ensuring smoke free areas, which we believe will help us to provide a healthy, safe and family friendly environment.  Together, we are helping inspire a healthier sporting nation.
